It prepared me very well for the certification exam. I appreciated the brevity and clarity of the book, it was well done. I appreciated the manual-bookkeeping approach, it taught me principles that I did not know, in spite of many years of bookkeeping experience.

I have enjoyed working through the text and exercises in this book – which I purchased after finishing Mastering Double-Entry Bookkeeping. I feel that I have come away with a good understanding of the subject, and I am more confident doing my job as a result.

A key component of the accounting cycle, where many students get stuck on what can be (from an accrual perspective) rather abstract concepts, this book cuts right to the quick without sacrificing necessary knowledge. You’ll come away with a much clearer understanding of this vital accounting concept after finishing this book!

Course book has plenty of real-world scenarios from which to review and practice accounting concepts learned from the material.

This was a challenging course for anyone who doesn’t do manual bookkeeping. Understanding the underlying concepts is foundational and helpful. However, the actual practice of bookkeeping is more modern and it would be helpful for these courses to be updated.

I have greatly enjoyed reading through the book’s tutorials and completing the quizzes. I now have a much clearer understanding of adjusting entries and why they are essential in bookkeeping.
