It is still somewhat confusing. But it helps a lot to have such very concise table of contents and index.
I like it. It’s organized well and clear. Great to have on hand.
Encyclopedia of Journal Entries is an Excellent reference book!
Very good reference material for not so easy journal entries.
An excellent reference, I rely on it. As a managerial consultant, I’m sometimes at a lo, as to basic accounting entry. The Encyclopedia of Journal Entries allows me to audit, make, and correct journal entries; that are, without a doubt, compliant.
This book is a fantastic resource! I refer to it and it never disappoints me!
This is a great resource. I’m glad AIPB provides it.
The reference book is exactly what I was looking for. I work at a small business and usually have the same entries; but every once in awhile we have a transaction completely out of the ordinary. This book has really helped me with those.
Love having this book handy at my desk. I use it often.
I really enjoy the encyclopedia and what it has to offer as a guide. Very useful tool for any bookkeeper. recommended for anyone to have. The bad thing about the encyclopedia is that I found it very hard to read. Even though the entries were explained it seemed to me that the explanation of the entry and the example of the entry are not defined. I was expecting to see the entries separated by being illustrated on columnar paper. In this way the bookkeeper could see how it would look on the form. I think it is good for an experienced person but to use it as a tool for someone with limited knowledge or still in the early stages of the profession it is hard to understand. I would pay more money to see the entries illustrated in color as if I were looking at an actual journal page. Overall excellent tool for finding what needs to be done, but making it a little easier on the eyes with entries that look like they are on journal paper would take this reference guide to a new level.
I was a bit diappointed in the book. I did send a message right after I received it stating what my issues were with it. I am concerned about the errors I found on the “How to use the Encyclopedia” page. The page numbers and sections were wrong. It also mentioned a Not-for-Profit section which is not in the book I received. If there are error right in the beginning how can I trust what the rest of the book contains. I don’t know if I just received a poorly put together book or if this is the standard. While I have used the book for a few entries, I do wonder if I can trust what it says so I have verified the entries with other sources for accuracy.
I thought it was a very well laid out book. I found it informational and a good quick source when verifying how to process/post an entry. The size is perfect, not to big where it is burdensome on my desk. I like that it is a paperback.
The encyclopedia has just about every journal entry imaginable.
Excellent reference book to keep at my fingertips!
very helpful
This book is a great tool to have. I carry it with me all the time for quick reference if needed.

GREAT assistance thanks..
Glad the book is available. I have not had to use it yet but have reviewed several sections.
excellent material.
It is a great reference source and covers just about every topic that would need a journal entry. It also gives great reasoning for the journal entry. My only con is that for $80 I would expect the printing to be of higher quality.
I bought the book because as the flier I received in the mailer from AIPB states, I expect to “Find any JE you will ever need”. So far, overall the book meets that expectations except for some typos on page v that causes confusion
Very concise. Journal entries are written in a logical order. Helpful to those who already have an accounting degree.
